What should I know before hiring Techroniqs?

Work is priced three ways: fixed-price from $2,000, time and material at $20–$35 per hour, or a dedicated team on monthly pricing. You own the source code from the first commit, engagements are led by the founders rather than an account layer, and we do not hold formal compliance certifications such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.

How large is the team and who would we work with?
We are a small senior team rather than a large agency with a layered account structure. Engagements are led by the founders — Ahsan Bilal, with 12+ years building products including work for Silicon Valley companies, and Haziq, with 8+ years architecting scalable systems. You talk to the people writing the code.
Where are you based and which time zones do you cover?
We work with clients across the United States and United Kingdom and structure engagements around a daily overlap with your working hours. Communication is in English, with a weekly review call and written updates between them.
What size of project do you take on?
Fixed-scope work starts at $2,000. At the other end we have built and operated platforms serving more than 500,000 users. The practical constraint is not size but clarity — a well-defined problem of any size is workable, an undefined one of any size is not.
Will you tell us if we should not build something?
Yes. If configuring an existing tool would serve you better than a custom build, or if a requirement calls for a stack we do not work in, we say so during scoping. That is cheaper for you than discovering it in month three, and it is why we run scoping as a paid, standalone phase rather than as free pre-sales.
Engagement and pricing
How do you price work?
Three models. Fixed-price from $2,000 for well-defined scope, time and material at $20–$35 per hour for evolving requirements, and dedicated teams on monthly pricing for long-term capacity. Which one fits is usually clear after the scoping phase.
What is a dedicated team engagement?
Full-time or part-time engineers, designers, or QA embedded in your process — your stand-ups, your board, your repository. It suits companies that need sustained capacity rather than a defined project, and it is priced monthly per person.
Can we start small before committing?
Yes, and we recommend it. The scoping phase is a self-contained piece of work with its own deliverable, so you can evaluate how we work before committing to a build. A short trial period can also be arranged for dedicated resources.
Who owns the code and the intellectual property?
You do, from the first commit. The repository is yours with full history, and handover documentation is part of every engagement rather than an extra.
What happens if the scope changes mid-project?
On time and material, priorities are simply re-ordered. On fixed-price, a change to scope means a written change to the estimate before the work starts — never a surprise on an invoice.
Delivery and quality
How do we see progress during a project?
Every branch deploys to its own preview URL, so you can use the software rather than read about it. There is a weekly demo and a written update, and the production runbook is written at launch rather than after it.
What happens after launch?
Either handover or a monthly retainer, your choice. Handover is real because documentation and runbooks are part of the launch step. Retainers cover monitoring, dependency updates, incident response during working hours, and agreed feature capacity.
Do you provide 24/7 support?
No. We provide monitoring, alerting, documented runbooks, and incident response during working hours. A round-the-clock rota needs an in-house team or a dedicated managed-service provider, and we will say so rather than promise coverage we cannot staff.
How do you approach security?
Encrypted transport and storage, least-privilege access, no secrets in source control, established authentication providers rather than hand-rolled auth, and audited third-party integrations. We have built platforms handling financial, insurance, and healthcare data on these practices. We do not hold formal certifications such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001, and we will not claim otherwise.
Can you work alongside our existing engineering team?
Yes, and much of our work is exactly that. On BankBarn we designed the API schema that coordinated a separate backend team; on CropGuard we were the founding frontend engineering alongside the client. We work in your repository, your process, and your review flow.

Can pricing be customized?
Yes. Every business is unique. We tailor pricing based on scope, timeline, and technical complexity.
Do you offer long-term discounts?
Yes. Discounted rates are available for long-term and dedicated engagements.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept international bank transfers, Wise, and other agreed payment methods.
Is there a trial period for dedicated resources?
